Friday Question Fun archive

Last weekend, my wife, mother, and I saw Lincoln and while it’s undeniably one of the better movies of 2012, it felt like a much longer movie than it is. In fact, I hear fairly often that people don’t like sitting through movies that go on past two hours.

When do you feel like a film is too long?

Do you avoid watching movies past that length?

Friday Question Fun archive

Can you believe this is the final Friday of 2012?  I can’t.

I also can’t believe that – barring some unforeseen circumstance – I was able to watch 300 movies this year. I admire those of you that were able to watch more than I did because keeping a full time job, other hobbies, AND writing for the site has taken a ton of time…and that doesn’t even include finding time to watch movies!

A sincere thank you to everyone that has read anything on my site for your support. I have had a great time writing my thoughts on movies and taking the time to chat with so many wonderful people this year. Now, I have a favor of you to ask.

What should my 2013 movie watching goal be?

Do you buy or rent movies? (Friday Question Fun)

Friday Question Fun

Since I think this is strictly a US thing…for those of you outside the US, the day after Thanksgiving most stores have huge sales/promotions in an effort to kick off holiday shopping called Black Friday. Malls become filled with pushy shoppers, streets become littered with idiotic drivers, and wallets become empty and abused. But man, some deals can be had!

So the question this week is split:

Do you normally buy or rent movies?

If you are in the US, what Black Friday deals are you taking advantage of?

Happy Friday everybody! With the weather getting cold and awards season coming up, lots of great movies are hitting the theater and all vying for our attention and our wallets. While this may not be a problem for some of us movie addicts, it can take a toll after awhile. So this week, I’d like to know:

Should all movie tickets cost the same amount regardless of how much the film took to make?
